Having already been inspired by the Apollo moon landings as a child of 8, I was further inspired a few years later when the original Star Trek series with Captain Kirk, Spock, Scotty and McCoy landed on British T.V. screens.

Apollo Moon Landings – what an inspiration!
As a young child, I sat riveted to the T.V. watching Apollo 11 blast off to go to the moon and couldn’t take my eyes away from Neil Armstrong as he descended the steps of the Eagle lunar module.
